Trashing Preferences
 

             --When a program's preferences file is deleted, it loses all settings;settings
             will be returned to default when you restart the computer or the program
             (if it's a program's prefs), please re-enter these settings before endingthe
             call.

Note: FreePPP 2.6 and above store it's prefs in FreePPP Prefs,not PPP Prefs
          (Gearbox comeswith FreePPP 2.5v3, which stores settings in PPP Prefs)

          You may needto unlock the System Folder to trash the preffiles

Special note about MacOS 8.x: When trashing Remote Access prefs,keep the
    following in mind:
    OS 8.0-8.1: In Preferences, go into the RemoteAccess folder and trash the Remote
                      Access Connections file
    OS 8.5x: In Preferences, go into the RemoteAccess folder and trash the Remote
                  Access Connections file, then, closed that folder, and directly under that
                  Remote Access folder (assuming that they are set to "View by Name"),
                  they will have a Remote Access Preferences file.  Trash that as well.

1. Open the program that you are deleting the prefs for (if the programcan be accessed)
    and write down the currect settings, as needed
2. Open the hard drive, go into the System Folder, and into the Preferencesfolder.
3. Drag the preference files or folders you want to delete to the trash. If you cannot see the
    trash, drop them on the desktop, then, when youhave removed all the preference files
    you want to delete, close all windows and drag themto the trash.
